Handmade Tiles
The book is logically organized in a way that would allow someone completely unfamiliar with clay to become a tile maker in a reasonable amount of time. That does not mean that this is an elementary level reference, experienced clay workers will find a wealth of information that will transfer to all manners of pottery making (especially in the area of decorative techniques). The only (very minor) criticism that I have about the book is the omission of using compressed air-lines in plaster molds. This very likely is deliberate, because the book makes an effort at keeping things simple and not relying upon expensive equipment. That said, this is book that I recommend very highly. Especially for those who would like to know how a ceramics reference book ought to be made!
